Aftermarket Tail Lights Buyers and Installers Guide

The Altezza tail light design featured a clear outer lens with chrome and red inside reflectors. This style was then replicated across the vehicle spectrum with options available for most vehicle makes and models. Euro Tail Lights is a term used for tail lights from European market vehicles that often feature a red and clear lens. Euro style tail lights are often preferred for USDM European vehicles to replicate the look of their EDM counterparts. Tail light installation:

1) Open the trunk.

2) Remove one plastic thumbscrew securing the trunk liner carpet and the tail light.

3) Peel back the trunk liner and remove nuts securing the tail light.

4) Unseat the tail light.

5) Remove the brake lamp socket from the outer tail light. Never touch exposed bulbs with bare hands.

6) Remove the brake lamp bulb from its socket.

7) Locate your new tail light. Install new socket insert into the brake lamp socket. Align the black wire side of the socket with the black wire side of the insert to ensure correct polarity.

8) Install brake lamp socket into the new tail light.

9) Seat the new tail light

10) Reinstall nuts to secure the tail light

11) Replace the trunk liner carpet, then reinstall one thumbscrew to secure the liner and the tail light.

12) Close the trunk and enjoy your new tail lights.
