2012-2014 Toyota Tundra 5.7L V8 K&N Aircharger Performance Intake
K&N Intake Kit - AirCharger High Performance Intake (63 Series): The K&N AirCharger High Performance Intake (63 Series) is a sister product to our the K&N Series FIPK (57 Series). The K&N AirCharger High Performance Intakes are built for many different vehicles and represent a dramatic improvement over a K&N O/E replacement filter alone; they use only non-metallic rotationally molded tubes that can reduce intake air temperature and decrease intake sound over a metal tube. Restriction can exist BETWEEN an air filter and the engine reducing the benefit of a K&N Air Filter. The weakest link in the airflow “chain” robs a vehicle of its natural horsepower. Often that weak point is the factory air path leading to the Engine. K&N Air Intake Kits virtually eliminate air path restriction by replacing the air filter and the entire air path to the engine. The aerodynamically engineered tube drives a massive amount of air into an engine, which translates into POWER.
The K&N AirCharger High Performance Intake are truly state-of-the-art. Starting with the largest conical shaped High-Flow air filter that can fit into the engine compartment while using factory holes and mounting points. This extra filter size provides even more airflow at lower restriction than a standard K&N O/E replacement filter that is limited to the size of the factory air box. The oversize air filter also captures and holds more dirt increasing the service life before a cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles). The filter is isolated from high engine temperature by a heat shield designed to lower the temperature of the air entering the engine, which increases horsepower. Next we attach the filter to a rotationally molded tube made from interlaced High Density Polyethylene. This process allows us to precisely shape the tube to reduce turbulence and accelerate airflow into the engine. This is why some of K&N's tubes have unique shapes or indentations that are specifically engineered for each application. Finally the tube is connected to the engine with adapters made from high strength materials such as silicon and reinforced nylon and ensures long life. Put all this together and you have the best high-flow intake system available today.

K&N Engineering, of Riverside, California, is the inventor and leading innovator of reusable cotton gauze filter technology for automotive applications. From humble beginnings as a family run business over 35 years ago, K&N Engineering, now a truly global company with offices in the U.K. and the Netherlands, continues to exist as a family owned business with an enthusiast mindset and a direct connection with motor sports that carries over throughout all levels of management and manufacturing.
Today, K&N exists as both the sales and brand leader for performance filters, and maintains a stocking catalogue of over 3,500 part numbers, including an extensive line of both factory replacement drop-in filters, FIPK (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) applications, and its line of innovative Performance Gold oil filters.
For over 50 years, K&N has been an industry-leader in automotive filtration and technology—offering products to increase performance, protection, and longevity in thousands of vehicle applications for consumers worldwide.
In the early 1960s, two motorcycle racers, Ken Johnson and Norm McDonald (K&N), developed a ground-breaking new idea for an air filter—one that could perform under the demands of dusty, dirty off-road environments. After experimenting with numerous types of filter media, they discovered that an oiled cotton design allowed the filter to not only capture contaminants very efficiently, but also allowed it to be washed and reused, and the original K&N High-Flow Air Filter was born. Five decades later, K&N is still innovating industry-leading filtration technology, and offers outstanding protection for everything from top-fuel dragsters to commuter vehicles across the globe.
In addition to performance air filters, K&N® now manufactures a variety of other protection and performance products, including air intake systems, oil filters, fuel filters, cabin air filters, and home air filters, with a reputation for exceptional quality and customer service that millions of customers trust.
K&N has maintained active involvement in racing and motorsports throughout its history, and has sponsored championship-winning teams in most subdisciplines of motorsport. A long and storied racing heritage continues to contribute to the development of products for all types of vehicles and engines.
