2011-2014 Porsche Cayenne Body Kits and Aerodynamics Enhancements

Porsche Cayenne Body Kits and Aerodynamics Buyers Guide

Getting tired of looking at your Cayenne since it's probably stayed pretty similar to when the car initially left the lot? I know many other Cayenne owners are. As the Cayenne gets older and older many owners are starting to have what we call themod bug.The mod bug is when you start itching to change or modify your car in some type of way. In many other cases some of you may just want to replace your old existing road beaten bumper and wanted to add some flair and style to your Panamera or you may have even gotten into a fender bender and since its already in the shop, why not change it up. Regardless of the reason, you're looking for a body kit.

A body kit can range in what it includes. Many think as body kits as a front bumper, rear bumper, and a set of side skirts but that isn't always the case. Some body kits are a front lip, rear lip, and side skirts and some can even be full widebody kits that consists of bumpers, hood, fenders, and spoiler. You can generally tell by looking at how many pieces the kits come in and reading what they include.

We have so many options on body kits that some of our customers don't really know where to begin. We have kits made in different designs and materials so it may be a bit confusing.

  1. FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) Fiberglass is generally more cost efficient than our other bumpers in other materials. They do take some work to fit perfectly but any custom body shop would be able to install this no problem. Prep work is going to be a bit more but you'd be saving the money from the cost of the part so you can put it into prep work. One benefit of fiberglass is that even if it does crack it can easily be repaired.
  2. Polypropylene (Polyurethane) This type of material is extremely durable in most cases are a direct fit. This material is the same material your OEM bumpers are made out of. A little more expensive but you would be saving costs on prep work and labor.
  3. GFK (Glass Fiber Composites) Products made in GFK are coated in a signature gray coating to guarantee that the preparation steps is decreased while at the same time providing excellent finish when finished.

Another thing to keep in mind is that most of our body kits do lower the vehicle to a certain extent. If you drive the Cayenne lowered you may want to re think getting a body kit that lowers it quite a bit. If you aren't really a careful driver you have a higher chance of damaging the kit. If you have different rims and tire size that may also affect the height of your car so as you shop for kits you may want to keep that in mind.

We have kits for everyone. To your average everyday driver that wants to change it up or a full blown show car that wants to bring something extra to the already beautiful Cayenne. All of our kits require professional installation from a custom bodyshop ask most collision centers aren't too familiar with fiberglass products.
